Energy is always moving and always changing.
What you think, you create. What you believe, you become.
Energy is everywhere and can’t be destroyed. Not only do you exist in a field of energy, but you’re also made up of energy. Science teaches us that the molecules that make up the cells of the body are made of atoms which are a composition of energy.
There is no beginning and no end to this field of energy, however it can and does transmute. Transmutation is the process by which energy changes in form, nature, or substance and is associated with alchemy. Alchemy may appear like a magical process, however it’s an intentional practice which works with the Universal Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy and just like an alchemist can turn lead into gold and Jesus could turn water into wine, you too can practice alchemy to transform your reality, manifest your dreams and experience self-realisation.
Energy from the formless is consistently flowing into the material world taking form through the power of the mind. For example, the energy of an idea for a screen play motivates a writer to take the idea from the formless to written form, which can then continue into the production of the film, to final distribution, ready for screening. The energy is changing in form from the unseen to the seen, as viewed on the big screen at the cinema.
Transmutation of energy occurs within nature, such as with water which takes on many forms including rain, snow, ice, clouds, and steam. The energy is never completely removed from Earth, it is constantly transmuting. Like this, our own energy undergoes continuous transformation, even when we’re not aware of it.
You can transmute the energy of heavy emotions if you’re willing to accept change. Suffering can stem from a resistance to change and it can feel challenging because it’s consuming so much energy to go against this universal law. Since energy is always in motion you can begin to recognise within challenging experiences ‘this too shall pass’, better yet, you have the power to transmute the energy to a more desirable feeling.
When you learn to work with the energy always available to you, you experience empowerment, and have the ability and responsibility to create desired change when needed.
Humanity is at a time which allows for learning, growth, and evolution to be achieved without so much suffering. The knowledge and energies are here for you now to learn through more desirable experiences. It has always been this way, but the collective consciousness of humanity was not ready to recognise this power and there’s still work to be done. It must go through its own collective growth toward realisation and it’s happening on the planet now at great speed. It’s a time of realisation, a time to set free the false ideologies and discover the power you have as a species to transmute energies and delight in the prosperity and beauty available to you on this beautiful planet. No one is short of this potential, but it starts in the mind, for everything is of the mind (as stated in the Law of Mentalism – refer to the first of the seven Hermetic Principles as reported in The Kybalion text) and what you believe, you become. If you believe it’s possible, you step into a realm of potential. It is not difficult when you learn to live more in the present moment.
When you accept this moment for what it is without attempting to change anything, you free yourself from the suffering, you detach from what you think it should be and allow what is present for you now. It is in this state of allowing that your energy shifts and you begin to hold the power to transmute to more desirable thoughts and consequently, experiences. This principle is of great importance in your understanding how to take back your power and pursue a path of least resistance; this path knows great joy, LOVE, prosperity, and delights in a field of possibilities and creativity while present on Earth. You are the vehicle to make this possible and you get to play in this field.
Practical ways to apply the Universal Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
- Next time you feel that someone else’s negativity and pessimism has rubbed off on you, seek ways to uplift your energy through positive thoughts and actions.
- When you’re feeling like you have a burst of energy, consider productive ways to utilise this energy which will maintain a state of feeling good. Perhaps it’s catching up on your ‘to do list’, exercising or working on the creative project you’ve been procrastinating on. The choice you make to transmute this energy will directly influence your sense of vitality and impact your vibration. Consider asking yourself ‘what’s the best way to utilise this energy now?
- When you resist change, you’re resisting the potential for personal growth. Consider an aspect of your life you recognise a resistance to change. Perhaps it’s changing your work circumstances or shifting a limited belief or letting go of an unhealthy relationship. Spend time intuitive writing or reflecting on this resistance asking yourself, why am I experiencing this resistance? If the answer is related to fear, remember that your fears carry your greatest growth. You can work with this Universal law to transmute the energy of fear into an opportunity for growth.

Deeper practice
Actionable steps for the transmutation of suffering:
- Accept your present moment. If your present moment isn’t ideal, remember that to accept doesn’t mean that you agree with what is happening or what has happened to you, rather you become neutral to the circumstances and take action steps to create desired change.
- Witness the thoughts, feeling and circumstances. Whether it’s outer circumstances or inner turmoil, ask yourself to become a witness to the present moment. What are you thinking, feeling, and experiencing?
- Let go. As you step back as the observer, you loosen the grip or the attachment you have to the experience and naturally the tension starts to ease.
- Redirect your thoughts about the experience influencing your energy and as you begin to choose more desirable thoughts, you attract inspiration for appropriate action to take, to help transmute the energy into a more desirable experience and outcome.
