‘Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.’ – Gospel of John
This is such a profound verse with sooooo much depth.
Firstly, please don’t think that by saying “In Jesus name” He will act on your request if it is out of alignment with love, because Christ and God is love. In His name is “in Christ” which is the “Son” which is your true Self (“ONE BODY, ONE CHRIST, MANY MEMBERS”) and he states the Father (God) may be glorified in You if you ask in alignment with your holy Christ Self. “I will do it” because it is Him – the ‘Christ’ in you (‘you will realise that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.’ – Gospel of John) as your true spiritual Self which is a creator made in the image and likeness of God.
You’ve got to believe in the Christ as love and as your true spiritual Self to own your creative potential in Christ. ‘they will do even greater things’ because Jesus has already ascended to the Father and is more accessible to the masses to co-create that which glorifies the ‘Father’; extend His presence of love in this world to ‘light’ it up in Christ.
“I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD”.
Does this mean you need to turn water into wine or multiply five loaves and two fish to feed a massive crowd to glorify God?
No. These stories demonstrate our ability in Christ to create transformational change and abundance, even if we begin with limited resources and perceptions about who we are and what we’re truly capable of. When we honour the light and love of the most High God, anything is possible.
1 Corinthians 3:16: “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”
